Collection
Marine Warehouse ("MW") will only collect personal information in a fair and lawful manner.
MW's policy on Information Privacy details the purposes for collection of information and will be made available to existing and prospective subscribers upon request.
MW's database may comprise the following personal information, held by MW:
- name and address; and
- contact details - phone, fax, mobile, email address
We may also use your e-mail address to send you communications about various MW services and products.
It is our policy to only email subscribers who give us permission to do so. If we send you an email for a commercial purpose, we will give you the option to unsubscribe.
Personal information, including your e-mail address, may be used by MW for the following purposes:
- marketing;
- planning;
- product development; and
- research.
Personal information collected by MW will only be used for the purpose for which it was collected and will not be disclosed to any person, body or agency unless MW has your consent or where it is required by law.
MW will not:

- disclose; or
- permit the use; or
- permit the disclosure
of personal subscriber information that could be used to identify an individual subscriber in any circumstances except:
- to ensure the proper functioning of MW's operations;
- where the personal subscriber information is to be used by a retained agent for marketing, planning, product development and research;
- when MW is required by law to disclose the personal subscriber information;or
- when the subscriber specifically consents in writing to the use or disclosure.
MW undertakes to give proper and responsible consideration to privacy issues associated with the introduction of new marketing devices or technology.
From time to time, MW promotional offers and special events may be communicated to subscribers through MW mailings. Subscribers have the right to opt out of these communications and can do so through any one of the options listed below.

To unsubscribe from the MW email database either click on the supplied link at the bottom of the email you received from us or send an e-mail to sales@marinewarehouse.com.au with the word 'UNSUBSCRIBE' typed into the subject line of the email. You will not receive any further email notices when you unsubscribe from this list. |
MW will take reasonable steps necessary to ensure that subscriber information is secure from any unauthorised access or disclosure.
MW assumes no responsibility for the information practices of third-party sites where a user is able to access their sites through ours, and MW encourages users to review each site's privacy policy before disclosing any personally identifiable information.
The MW policy on Information Privacy will be made available at or prior to subscribing or otherwise on request.
Subscribers may request access to their personal information on the MW database. Such requests must be in writing to MW. No fee for reasonable requests will be charged.
Subscribers have the right to update any incorrect contact details.
MW will conduct a regular internal review to ensure observance of this policy. Any legislative policy/amendments will be implemented on an ongoing basis in order to ensure continued compliance.
